Terms of Use

These terms cover Name Place Animal Thing, the mobile game published by Bora Technologies, on iOS and Android. By playing, you agree to them. If you do not, delete the app.
The game
You get a letter and a set of categories — name, place, animal, thing, or whatever the host picks. You type an answer for each one before the timer runs out. Then everyone votes on whether each answer counts. Rarer answers score more. That is the whole product.
You can play alone against generated opponents, or in a room with other people using a six-digit room code.
There is no account
The app has no sign-up, no login, no password and no email address. Your name, avatar, stats, achievements, streak and boosts live in the app’s storage on one device.
That has consequences you should understand before you invest time in it:
- Your progress does not move between devices. There is no sync and no restore.
- If you delete the app, change phones, or use “Reset All Data”, your progress is gone. We cannot recover it. We have no copy of it, because it was never sent to us.
- We cannot identify you. If you contact us about your account, there is no account to look up.
We are not responsible for progress lost this way.
What you type
You keep whatever rights you have in the answers you type. You are responsible for them.
By playing multiplayer you give us permission to transmit your answers, display name and avatar to the other players in your room, and to store them on our server for as long as that room exists. Rooms are short-lived and delete themselves; see the Privacy Policy for the exact timings.
Other players see what you type. After a round closes, every player in the room reads every answer, and votes on them. Answers are not private. Do not type anything into a round you would not want strangers to read, and treat a public room as a public place.
Rules for using the service
Do not:
- type or use as a display name anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or targeted at a specific person
- impersonate someone else, or pretend to be us
- use the game to advertise, spam, or recruit
- deliberately try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the app or the server, or bypass its rate limits
- automate play, script the client, or interfere with anyone else’s game
- attempt to reach other players’ answers before the reveal, or any part of the service you are not meant to see
Room hosts can remove players from their room. We can block access to the service for anyone breaking these rules. Because there are no accounts, enforcement is limited and blunt — please just behave.
We do not moderate answers in real time. There is no review queue and no in-game reporting flow. If someone is abusing the game, email boratechnologies9@gmail.com with what happened and when.
Ads
The app shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. Rewarded ads are optional and give you an in-game boost. We do not control which ads Google serves. Ads are not a purchase and boosts have no cash value.
There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions in this app.
Links to other apps
The app can show cards promoting other apps, which open the App Store or Google Play. Those are separate products with their own terms and privacy policies.
The service can change or stop
Multiplayer depends on a server we run. We may change the game, change the rules, add or remove features, take the server down for maintenance, or stop running it entirely, at any time and without notice. We may also require you to update to a newer version of the app to keep using multiplayer.
We do not promise the service will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors.
No warranty
The app and the service are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Bora Technologies is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost progress, or lost profits, arising out of your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app — which, for this app, is nothing.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Age
The app has no age check and does not ask your age. If you are a minor, ask a parent or guardian before playing, and follow the minimum age rules of the app store you downloaded it from. A parent or guardian who lets a child play is responsible for that use.
App store terms
You also have to follow Apple’s and Google’s terms for the store you got the app from. If those terms conflict with these for something the store controls, theirs win for that thing.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
